Optimer Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Optimer) is committed to ensuring that patients have access to DIFICID™ (fidaxomicin) tablets. With this in mind, Optimer has created the Optimer Patient Assistance Program for patients who need assistance paying for DIFICID™. The program will help uninsured and underinsured patients gain access to this important product.

About the Program
Patients, their family, advocates, or case managers need to call (855) 841-4236 to begin the application process to receive DIFICID™. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. Completion of the application requires income and insurance information in order to determine patient eligibility for the Optimer Patient Assistance Program. Upon completion of the application process, patient signature, and receipt of the faxed prescription, DIFICID™ will be made available to eligible patients for the duration of their therapy.
